We are fully insured for both slashing and fire break work and utilise a hydraulic offset flail mower to achieve a quality finish that finely mulches the grass, leaving a superior result and reduced fuel load.

Slashing & Fire Break Policies
Inman Valley Rural Contracting does not undertake slashing on Total Fire Ban days or when we consider conditions too high‑risk to work safely. This means there may be some flexibility or changes to our schedule in response to weather and fire danger ratings.
Much of our slashing, particularly for smaller jobs, is programmed to maximise efficiency and reduce costs to the client. If a job is required urgently and cannot be fitted into the next scheduled run, additional costs may apply for a one‑off visit.
As a business operating safely, it is important that you let us know about any hazards or dangers on the property to the best of your ability. Common hazards include objects hidden in grass such as:
• Scrap metal
• Old wire and fencing
• Hay netting
• Large rocks
• Other debris that could damage machinery or cause injury
Please also advise us of any dangerous terrain that may not be easily seen, such as:
• Large holes
• Ditches or washouts
These hazards can be very hard to identify in long grass.
As a slashing contractor, we do not guarantee that the property will be left in a manicured, lawn‑like state, and there may be areas that cannot be slashed due to access limitations for our machinery. Our focus is on providing a safe, efficient and high‑quality result for each of our clients, helping to reduce fire risk over summer while keeping your property looking tidy and well‑presented.
